The LabEx PRIMES is included in the global scheme of the ‘Initiative d'Excellence’ (Idex) project lead by ‘Université de Lyon’ and called ‘Avenir Lyon-Saint-Etienne’.

The governance of the LabEx project will be part of the decision process associated with the Avenir Idex composed of:

• an international scientific committee, the assignment of which is to set the main scientific lines;
• a strategic committee, involving all the actors of the academic – metropolitan communities – social and economic world ecosystem charged to orientate, to advice and to bring expertise on the society needs;
• the Université de Lyon responsible for the management of the funds associated to the Idex and hence those of the LabEx project.

Inside this organization, the LabEx PRIMES is co-directed by Françoise Peyrin and Denis Dauvergne. The steering committee is composed of one member of each workpackage and their substitutes. The day-to-day coordination is assured by Béatrice Rayet and Jean-Baptiste Mourgues.
