PRIMES’s summer school: Imaging physics, simulation and biomedical applications

The LabEx PRIMES organizes its second summer school edition in order to promote the use of modern simulation tools, such as the VIP platform, by presenting the physical basis of the main medical imaging modalities (US, RMI, XR, PET) and their associated simulation on computed grid for various purposes like image processing validation methods, imagers design or pathologies simulation depending on the considered imaging modality.

The program will include physics of biomedical imaging courses, grid computed practical work applied to biomedical imaging.

This summer school is mainly open to researchers and developers in the field of biomedical image processing and also to physicists, researchers or developers in biomedical instrumentation.

This event will be held on the premises of the electrical engineering department of INSA in Lyon from July 6th – 11th 2014.

Organizing committee: Cédric RAY, David ROUSSEAU (project holders), Françoise PEYRIN and Denis DAUVERGNE (LabEx PRIMES’s leaders).
