The LabEx will create a new practical and classes platform that will be offered to all the LabEx students, either for initial or continuing education. Improvements of the existing Masters’ programmes and the creation of the platform will be achieved in close collaboration with the research WP’s, using modern and internationally recognized tools in order to develop the students’ skills and their subsequent placement either in academia or industry. For example, the use of the GATE (which is already teached during physics and medical physics classes) and VIP platforms will increase the employability of a student in the imaging and TPS industry where those abilities will highly be appreciated. Indeed, GATE will give students the opportunity to become familiar with the various imaging modalities, to better understand their strength and shortcomings as well as to grasp the compromise between dose and image quality or, last but not least, to study computerized treatment planning with multiple beam types (photon, electron, proton, carbon ...).
We will so create the first National practical platform combining MRI, ultrasounds and X scanner in a unique place.
